"I understand that the BDO Seidman Alliance is in conversations with AAA regarding a relationship for the benefit of Alliance firms. This letter is to provide a 'testimonial' regarding S&O's experience with AAA. When we employed our first professional administrator 18 years ago, he began looking for resources to assist him in learning more about the profession and its unique challenges. He attended various AICPA and other seminars in his efforts to expand his knowledge. In the early 1990's, he stumbled across AAA, and attended their National conference. He discovered that AAA offered the most focused, comprehensive educational experience and other support for administrators that he had found. They focus exclusively on areas for which he is or has been responsible, including HR, marketing, general firm management, IT, strategic planning, etc. In addition, he has used their exclusive annual Niche Benefit publication to move the firm forward in areas such as disaster planning, development of our Intranet, staff orientation, development of position descriptions and a variety of other areas. He has further developed a network of colleagues that allows him to obtain almost immediate response to any question or problem we encounter in the management and administrative areas. If BDO is contemplating development of administrative resources for Alliance firms, I urge you to formalize the relationship with AAA and use the resources and foundation they have developed over their 22 year history! Is there really a need to reinvent the wheel when a terrific resource already exists?"

"I’ve been a fan of AAA since the Michigan chapter formed in 1992 and encouraged my firm administrator to regularly attend and get involved. What results when you do that is mutual benefit and value for all participants. I’m proud that Mary Bartlett is currently serving on the national AAA board of directors as well as President of the Michigan chapter. Many times we’ve tapped into AAA’s resources.
